In this make and take workshop, you will learn to construct a sturdy medium sized basket with a handle using natural materials harvested and collected from both Donna’s home in Highland County and from what you gather at Heartmoor. Grape vine, red twig dogwood, kudzu, and river willow all can come together to weave a useful and attractive basket for your daily life.
Donna Bedwell lives in Monterey, VA and has been making baskets for over 30 years in a wide variety of techniques. Her love of baskets has led her to both take and teach classes as she continues to explore her craft. She knows one basket is almost always just the beginning and this workshop will provide the participant with the ability and resources to continue creating baskets on their own.
Cost: $145 Includes all materials
