Join us for our second annual Peace Village Global summer offering at Heartmoor, inspired by a dear friend’s work with Peace Village Global in Portland, OR. We are excited to host a camp community of 24 children, ages 8 -13, leading them to build skills in conflict resolution, mindful movement, connection with nature and media awareness.

Heartmoor Farm Education Centre‘s goal is to strengthen individuals by building compassion and empathy for self and others.
How is the camp organized?
Each day of Peace Village camp focuses on a different thematic tool children can use to grow inner peace. The themes are explored through games, activities, stories, and practice from our curriculum.
What are the themes?
The four themes developed and practiced over the camp sessions are Mindfulness, Connection to Nature, Media Literacy, and Conflict Transformation.
How does the curriculum build peace?
We know that cultivating inner strength gives each of us the best chance to succeed at resolving conflict and creating peace. By empowering children with empathy, inner strength, community building, and resiliency, our work creates lasting change. The program is designed to address the social and emotional needs of children in a time when trauma, violence, and conflict are common challenges. Here the children learn to transform conflict and become mindful peacebuilders.
How has the program been developed?
By investing in people of all ages and cultures, each who contribute their knowledge and talents, The Peace Village program benefits from a diversity of wisdom. Since its inception, thousands of people have participated in our programs. Peace Village creates a unique place to come together to learn and to practice peace.
